Hi,
Does anybody know contacts of the Masalawaalis (with the pestle) in and around mumbai?
Also, Anybody interested in EI Bottle Masala? My mother in Vile Parle makes some excellent masala...

I agree with Rinnet that we must buy from some 1 but we should know before buying that what ingredients are put in the same.viz.kashmiri chillies or resham patti chillies as the colour & taste would differ in both variants. Also,what is the selling price per kg if any body wants to buy.

Dear Rinnet, What you said is correct that many people of our generation don't know the exact recipe. But you should also know that there are many people out there today who know it all inside out but still cannot make it because of the hardwork that goes into it. As you know its not so easy.

As far as making bottle masala is concerned its quite simple there is no much hardwork needed for it..... I had done it so m saying it... its seems difficult but its quite simple..... ITS OUR TRADITIONAL MASALA AFTER ALL.... N i love eating EI food.

Got a fair amount of responses on the bottle masala. Entire lot was sold out.
