Sahar Airport lands were taken by the British "for war purposes" with the explicit promise to be returned after the war (world war 2). Many of our East Indians were forced to give their lands, much of it was never used but never returned to original owners. Today the Government is talking of expanding the Airport, which essentially mean that the entire Sahar village including the centuries old church goes to the Airport, Airport which is privately run, and has a lot of commercial interests like shopping malls, hotels etc. the demand from all us East Indians should be "Return Airport Lands to the original Owners" as was originally promised.
